Propane - The World's most versatile fuel.
Propane is the environmental, economical choice for residential, industrial, commercial and agricultural applications. Stored as a liquid, propane is easily transported and can provide energy in places natural gas cannot.

What is Propane?

Propane is a member of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) family. It is colorless, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. As a safety measure, ethyl mercaptan, an odorant that smells like boiling cabbage or rotten eggs is added to propane when it is loaded into transport trucks.

Sources

The majority of propane produced today is recovered from natural gas through a separation process. The balance comes from refining crude oil. Propane is shipped to retail storage sites by pipeline, railcars, transport trucks, barges, bulk trucks and cylinder trucks.
